Learning to paint is the best thing that I have ever done for myself. My artistic experience began when I received a beautiful set of porcelain that lacked paint on the plates. After contacting several porcelain painters to no avail, I decided that I would learn how to paint the plates myself. Now, I look back on that time 35 years ago and see how far I've come. I not only work with porcelain, but with watercolor, oil, batik, pastel and many other different mediums. One of my most pleasant memories is selling one of my paintings to a family after their six year old boy fell in love with one of my paintings. To see someone else see the meaning and emotion behind the painting, especially someone at that age was astoundingly lovely. I hope to make other people see the meaning behind my paintings, just like that little boy.
